Hazardous freight cargoes

We can accept a variety of hazardous classes across our fleet of ships, for precise information on what we are able to accommodate please call our reservations office for more details.

In order that we can fully comply with international regulations, we must have a minimum of 24 hours notice. Depending on the route you wish to take, it may also be necessary for you to provide prior notification to the appropriate harbour authority. Specific tariffs are available on request.

Hazardous cargoes - pre advice

Brittany Ferries' checking procedures for hazardous goods are stringent, the safety of our vessels, their passengers and crew being of paramount importance.

In order that we have adequate time to properly complete these formalities, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for the shipment of any hazardous goods. This pre-advice should be provided in the form of faxed or emailed  Dangerous Goods Notes to the appropriate Freight Reservations Office.
