France: Vehicle Restrictions Travelling 6 June 2019

D-Day commemorations on 06 June 2019 are taking place in Normandy. As a result, a driving ban has been imposed for vehicles weighing 7.5 tonnes or over, throughout the Calvados department (official decree on request) from 0500hrs to 2300hrs, the Prefecture (Local Authority) will give access to the port of Ouistreham for our departures/arrivals on 06 June, under the following conditions:

Departure on 05 June from Portsmouth at 2245hrs, arrival in Ouistreham on 06 June at 0645hrs: trucks disembarking will have 2 hours to leave the department of Calvados and drivers will HAVE TO CARRY their boarding card, in case of control.

Departure on 06 June at 0830hrs from Ouistreham: trucks booked on this departure MUST arrive at the port of Ouistreham before 0600hrs, WITH presentation of the ferry crossing ticket

Departure on 06 June from Portsmouth at 1445hrs, arrival in Ouistreham at 2130hrs: trucks disembarking will be allowedto usethe road network and drivers will HAVE TO CARRY their boarding card, in case of control.

Departure on 06 June from Ouistreham at 1630hrs : cancelled - this service is now operating from Cherbourg-Portsmouth at 1630hrs

Departure on 06 June from Ouistreham at 2300hrs : reopening of the borders of the Calvados department at 1930hrs for trucks booked on this departure, ONLY WITH presentation of the ferry crossing ticket. From 2000hrs, they will be parked at Gate 1 of the northern ring road and will be released as soon as possible.
