Improved Meal Choice For Commercial Vehicle Drivers

Brittany Ferries is making important changes to the manner in which it provides meals to commercial vehicle drivers with effect, 1st October 2006.

Most importantly, the current practice of providing free meals in a dedicated dining area will cease from the beginning of October this year. The revised arrangements will feature highly subsidised access to any of our on-board catering facilities. Whichever food outlet they choose on our multi-purpose vessels, they will benefit from a discount of 50% on the published tariff for meals and soft drinks on presentation of a valid freight ticket. It should, however, be noted that this applies solely to the driver and any co-drivers named on the ticket. This revised policy does not include any provision for alcoholic drinks nor does it apply to any outlet other than those selling food.

The privacy of the Drivers' Club area will be retained and anyone buying their meal at the self-service restaurant will be entitled to make use of this facility. The practice of providing free coffee, tea and water in this dedicated area will continue. On freight-only vessels a set charge of £7.00 (€10) or £2.00 (€3) will apply to a main meal or breakfast respectively.

Continental breakfasts will be provided free of charge to freight drivers on scheduled morning arrivals. If they wish, this can be upgraded to a full cooked breakfast at a modest charge.
