Vehicle Lashing Points

Brittany Ferries’ strict policy in relation to the number of lashing points provided on trailers was highlighted recently when a vehicle was refused shipment due to it having insufficient securing rings. Customers are reminded of their responsibility to observe statutory requirements.

A report published on behalf of the Marine Accident Investigation Branch on 1st October 2009 recommends co-ordinated action on the part of VOSA and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to ensure compliance. Details are available from the MAIB.
