Cotentin has arrived!

The new freight only vessel Cotentin has now officially become a member of the Brittany Ferries fleet. She was handed over by Aker Yards of Helsinki on the 9th November 2007 and set off for her home port of Cherbourg, which she reached on the evening of the 14th November 2007.

During her voyage from the shipyard she successfully conducted berthing trials at both Portsmouth and Poole.

It is planned that she will become fully operational with her first departure from Cherbourg to Poole on Monday 26th November at 23.45 hours. This places her in readiness for the first departure from Poole to Santander on Friday 30th November 2007. For up to date sailing scehdules for this route click here.
