1 What information do you need for a reservation?

Accurate dimensions of the vehicle. We need the number of drivers, the vehicle registration number and a brief description of the goods. Charges will be levied at the port of departure for any significant discrepancies.

2 When can you confirm freight reservation?

From the very outset, on certain services we are able to confirm your requirements. However, if you wish to travel at peak periods, we will be able to confirm your request a minimum of seven days prior to departure.

3 When do I receive my tickets?

Provided your travel arrangements are concluded in good time, we can arrange for your tickets to be posted to you. Otherwise, it is common practice for these to be issued on departure.

4 What's included in the price?

Onboard accommodation (a berth in a 4-berth cabin) is provided free of charge. Subject to availability and a supplementary charge, cabin accommodation can be upgraded. Ask for details at the time of booking.

5 How can I pay?

Payment should normally be made once we have confirmed your travel arrangements. We accept most major credit and debit cards.

6 Can you help with foreign currency?

A commission-free Bureau de Change facility is available at all our ports.

7 What are the embarkation procedures?

All freight vehicles exiting the UK are required to pass over a weighbridge, located in our freight compounds. On all departures you are required to check in at our Freight Offices and supply a valid passport and a description of the goods being carried.

8 What can I do to combat the threat of illegal immigrants?

It is your responsibility to comply with the code of practice (available on request), laid down by the Immigration authorities. You must comply with any request at the port to search your vehicle; failure to do so will result in the non-shipment.

9 What are the penalties involved?

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE CODE OF PRACTICE COULD RENDER YOU LIABLE TO A PENALTY OF £2000.00 PER INDIVIDUAL DISCOVERED IN YOUR VEHICLE UPON ARRIVAL IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.

10 Will I be sent a receipt?

Approximately one week after shipment, you will receive an invoice that will conclude our transaction. The format of this document complies with fiscal requirements for small businesses.
